Bioanthropology

Bioantropologia - Radio Web UFPA

It is a class directed towards the areas of physical anthropology, where we can learn the most biological aspects of the human being and associate them with their society and culture. We have seen things like forensic anthropology, directed towards more contemporary bodies, and paleoanthropology, which are bodies from long ago. We have also studied human morphology, studies, methods and even the areas of work that each area of specialization has.

One of the things we have seen in class is about the bone records and morphological comparison between the different remains of primates and the genus Homo. Paleoanthropology serves to study the origins of the human species and its evolution not only biological but also cultural.

I really liked this class, because I love biology and science related to it. Forming a relationship between the human body and the culture of who the body belongs to is very interesting for me and it is one of the reasons why I decided to study anthropology, which is why I am undecided about the mention in archeology or the mention in physics.
